Tjaarda Allison – Physiotherapist

Tjaarda-profileTjaarda Allison completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Curtin University. He previously completed an undergraduate degree in Finance at the University of Western Australia. Prior to studying Physiotherapy, Tjaarda completed his Certificate III and IV in Fitness, and worked as a personal trainer at numerous gyms during his studies.

Tjaarda’s passion for health and exercise has transferred into his role as a physiotherapist, as shown through his enthusiasm for treating sports related injuries and musculoskeletal problems.

When not working Tjaarda enjoys going to the beach, powerlifting, wakeboarding and owner operating “2 Fat Frenchies”, his Vegan Doughnut company.

Ashlee Cook – Physiotherapist

ashlee-profile Ashlee successfully completed her Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) at Curtin University and has been working as physiotherapist in private practice since. Utilising up to date evidence based modalities, clinical reformer Pilates and manual therapy in order to rehabilitate her clients back to pain free movement, Ash also focuses on leading her patients into sculpting healthier lifestyles.

Not only does she love witnessing her patient’s achieve their goals and return to what they are passionate about; the strong relations she develops with her clients and the positive impact on their physical and mental wellbeing is what she treasures most about being a physiotherapist.

Always passionate in giving back to her local community, Ashlee was the head sports trainer at her local amateur football club and was also heavily involved as a physiotherapy assistant within the disability sector. These experiences have afforded Ashlee a wealth of patient interaction and the skills to appropriately manage, rehabilitate and prevent recurrence of multiple musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries.

Ashlee’s clinical interests involve managing sporting injuries, chronic lower back pain, tendinopathies, post-surgical rehabilitation and pre and post-partum womens health. Outside of work Ash loves days at the beach with her friends, travel and exploring the South West with her family.

Corey Evans – Physiotherapist

corey-portraitCorey successfully completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with honours from Curtin University. He has a particular interest in exercise rehabilitation following musculoskeletal injury and Sports Physiotherapy. Having played competitive sport his whole life Corey understands how eager people can be to resume following their injury, whether it be at an elite level or a social Monday night game for fun.

When not working Corey is a keen cricketer, enjoys travelling, camping and the occasional round of golf. You may find Corey at any one of our clinics covering our other team members when they are taking well deserved holidays or working his magic at our Hillarys clinic a few nights a week.

Ben Gabrovec – Move Forward Managing Director

ben-profileTaking great pride in his Physio team as Move Forwards Manager, Ben has the focus on creating an environment for each Physiotherapist to grow as practitioners and people, the success of Move Forward is testament to the ongoing achievement of this goal. To keep in touch with his clients, he is available on a sessional basis from Hillarys Physio.

Ben completed his B.Sc (Physio) at Curtin University and began his career at Quinns Physio while starting what would eventually become Move Forward Physiotherapy. He has been the Managing Partner at Move Forward Physiotherapy since those beginnings in 2007 working closely with his business partners and respected Physios Peter Owens and Felicity Kermode to establish what is now the most trusted Physio company in Perth. In that time the group has expanded to 14 Physiotherapy clinics making Move Forward the number one provider of Physiotherapy care in Perth’s northern suburbs.

Life can’t all be about work and he loves spending his days with his dogs, Wilco and Boni and of course his wife Louise and new addition Jack.
