Want to manage your pain more effectively?

Pain affects all of us at some stage of our lives, with some of us going on to have persistent pain. Fortunately, there have been some fantastic new developments to help our understanding and treatment for persistent pain. Check out our links to some great free resources.

Videos

A great 15 minute video by Lorimer Moseley, sharing his knowledge and experience into the underlying mechanisms of pain- an excellent starter for anyone who is new to this area.

Specific to low back, this video by Peter O’Sullivan helps to clear up some of the myths regarding scans and their link to pain. The first minute or two summarises things nicely.

Explain Pain by David Butler and Lorimer Moseley- A brilliant book incorporating the latest knowledge of pain and placing it into an easy to digest format. A must read for anyone with persistent pain

Based on the work of the Explain Pain book this great resource has been put together by Canadian Physio, Greg Lehman. Greg combines his knowledge of biomechanics and pain to put together an information booklet packed full of useful information and mini tests along the way.
